Reusing cool stuff

Home Sweet Home

This piece is kinda fun. The old latch set is from a clients house and the little
lamp is from my Dad, who replaced his dinning room chandalier.

everything is art

Resurfacing

26" x 30" 67 cm x 78 cm

This is a mixed media piece using different glues, paints and soft materials that can only be seen well up close and personal.

art is everything

Painting

32" x 30" 80 cm x 72 cm

No real explanation for this one, it just sort of happened. I guess that's the reason for the title, "Painting", it seemed appropriate. It has some relief to it because I used wall filler and caulking, then did some scraping. Fun huh?

Fight and Fertility

Say hello to Fight and Fertility. I constructed her this summer with bits and pieces from my shop including an old saw blade, bubble wrap, dust pan, a rake and electrical wiring.
She stands just under 7 feet or 210 cm and at this moment watches over my kitchen.

Baby Green

90 cm x 90 cm 36" x 36"
acrylic on vinyl canvas

I created this painting last spring. It is always so glorious to see the million shades of green after a long, grey, dark winter.

Art is everything is art

The Red Square

50 cm x 70 cm 20" x 28"
acrylic on canvas

I created this painting last spring when I was taking a colour theory class at the Vancouver Island School of Art. I then donated it to the Art Incognito show held there this fall and it was one of 6 paintings that sold in the pre-show.
